This blade water feature uses a Woven fence panel as its backdrop. The Woven Jacksons fence panel is made of interweaving pales, so the panel doesn’t have a completely flat face, adding texture to the garden.
To create space for the water feature, the conifers were cut back to their stems to stop them from growing back. The water feature can now become a wildlife haven, attracting butterflies and dragonflies. An opening was made in the centre of the Woven fence panel for the water feature to be fitted into. This space-saving technique allows the technical equipment to be hidden behind the panel. The water then cascades into a small pond with raised beds on either side, and the walling complements the texture of the Woven panel, adding another dimension to the garden.
Lighting was installed to finish off the garden design so the feature can still be enjoyed at night. The lighting creates shade from the plants and fence panel as well as light. In the dark, the panel design is accentuated by the cast by the pales, creating a feature wall.
To complete the final look, an outside room was also installed. The sound of water from the water feature embedded within the panel adds ambience and makes the whole area a relaxing place to enjoy the outdoor space.
