Is it true that a half round post will not have the same level of protection as a round post?
All Jacksons treated posts suppled by the Fencing Bloke are treated as a finished product so it is irrelevant whether the post is a whole round or half round shape.
If products are guaranteed for 25 years, surely they must be more expensive?
In the long term, Jacksons treated timber has a low lifetime cost. Even if the initial investment is slightly higher, over 25 years – when you factor in the cost of replacing rotted timber and wires, plus labour – Jacksons fencing represents excellent value for money.
Will it void my guarantee if I cut or drill the posts for hinges etc?
If your professional fencing installer cuts or drills a post or rail this will not invalidate the guarantee as long as the cut ends are treated with an end grain preservative
Will the guarantee be void if I nail or staple the post?
Stapling and nailing does not void the guarantee and does not require end grain preservative.
